Sevierville Hosts Appreciation Day for Tourism Workers

Organizers in Sevierville say the event builds on years of grassroots effort to bring neighbors together and support local causes.

"This is something our community has been asking for, and we're glad to finally see it come together," said Jason Johnson, nonprofit director in Sevierville.

Last year's turnout topped 3741 attendees, and organizers say they are hoping to top that number this time with an expanded lineup of activities for families.

Volunteers and sponsors interested in getting involved are encouraged to reach out to organizers ahead of the date.
