Rutherford County Holds County-Wide School Supply Drive

Organizers in Murfreesboro say the event builds on years of grassroots effort to bring neighbors together and support local causes.

"We've put a lot of work into getting this right, and we think people are going to notice the difference," said Kevin Harris, nonprofit director in Murfreesboro.

Last year's turnout topped 3445 attendees, and organizers say they are hoping to top that number this time with an expanded lineup of activities for families.

Volunteers and sponsors interested in getting involved are encouraged to reach out to organizers ahead of the date.
