Columbia's Mule Day Parade Draws Statewide Crowds

Organizers in Columbia say the event builds on years of grassroots effort to bring neighbors together and support local causes.

"We've put a lot of work into getting this right, and we think people are going to notice the difference," said Kayla Williams, volunteer coordinator in Columbia.

Last year's turnout topped 3778 attendees, and organizers say they are hoping to top that number this time with an expanded lineup of activities for families.
