Organizers in Chattanooga say the event builds on years of grassroots effort to bring neighbors together and support local causes.
"It's a big step forward for Chattanooga, and it wouldn't have happened without a lot of people pulling in the same direction," said Brian Jackson, neighborhood association president.
Last year's turnout topped 3371 attendees, and organizers say they are hoping to top that number this time with an expanded lineup of activities for families.

Volunteers and sponsors interested in getting involved are encouraged to reach out to organizers ahead of the date.
