Smyrna officials confirmed the update this week, saying it reflects months of planning and public input from residents across the area.

"This is something our community has been asking for, and we're glad to finally see it come together," said Rachel Wilson, public works director in Smyrna.

Planning documents reviewed by the Tennessee Tribune show the project is expected to cost roughly $4.8 million, with work phased in over the next 1 to 2 years. Local leaders say the timeline could shift depending on funding and weather.
