School Board Approves Plan for Third New Elementary School by 2028

Murfreesboro officials confirmed the update this week, saying it reflects months of planning and public input from residents across the area.

"It's a big step forward for Murfreesboro, and it wouldn't have happened without a lot of people pulling in the same direction," said Michael Harris, city spokesperson.

Planning documents reviewed by the Tennessee Tribune show the project is expected to cost roughly $7.5 million, with work phased in over the next 3 to 4 years. Local leaders say the timeline could shift depending on funding and weather.
