World's Fair Park Adds New Splash Pad Ahead of Summer

The update is expected to draw additional visitors to Knoxville in the coming months, adding to what has already been a strong season for Tennessee tourism.

"It's a big step forward for Knoxville, and it wouldn't have happened without a lot of people pulling in the same direction," said Laura Thomas, attraction spokesperson.

Visitor numbers in the area were already up an estimated 7 percent over last year, according to regional tourism data, and officials expect the trend to continue through the fall.
