West Tennessee's Largest Solar Farm Connects to the Grid

Jackson officials confirmed the update this week, saying it reflects months of planning and public input from residents across the area.

"We've put a lot of work into getting this right, and we think people are going to notice the difference," said David Thompson, deputy mayor in Jackson.

Planning documents reviewed by the Tennessee Tribune show the project is expected to cost roughly $9.7 million, with work phased in over the next 2 to 3 years. Local leaders say the timeline could shift depending on funding and weather.
