Range USA opens its newest store in Smyrna on Friday, Sept. 18, with a three-day grand opening celebration running through Sept. 20. Doors open at 10 a.m. each day at the facility at 8225 Tridon Drive, about 20 miles southeast of Nashville.
The facility
The store is about 15,000 square feet and combines a retail floor with 20 public 25-yard shooting lanes. Two classrooms each hold up to 20 students, and services include private lessons, basic handgun courses and concealed-carry certification. The location employs 30 full- and part-time workers.
Opening weekend
According to the company's announcement, the first 150 customers each day receive a Range USA hat. Prize drawings carry a pool valued at more than $4,000, including five premium memberships, five cases of 9 mm ammunition, two $50 gift cards and a Glock G19 Gen6. A U.S. Concealed Carry Association representative is scheduled to be on site all three days.
Company growth
Smyrna is Range USA's 52nd location and its second in the Nashville area. CEO Tom Willingham, who founded the company in 2012, called the opening "a huge milestone" for Range USA. In February, the company said it planned to open three stores in 2026, creating more than 100 full- and part-time jobs across the three locations; Smyrna was one of them.
