Deer Creek Timber Co. Invests in Sustainable Forestry Tech

The announcement adds to a string of recent developments for the Maryville business community, which has seen steady growth over the past year.

"This is something our community has been asking for, and we're glad to finally see it come together," said Chris Miller, chamber of commerce director in Maryville.

Company leaders point to Maryville's growing workforce and lower cost of doing business compared with larger metro markets. The move is expected to create or support roughly 77 jobs in the region over the next two years.
